Visión ecológica a los indicadores macroeconómicos clásicos: Una revisión de literatura

Resumen

 Los indicadores macroeconómicos como el Producto Interno Bruto y el Producto Nacional Neto se centran en la producción y no miden los costos ambientales asociados al desarrollo, ni toman en cuenta los costos de compensación y las externalidades generadas por las actividades económicas. Mediante una revisión bibliográfica utilizando el método PRISMA, se analizaron propuestas de nuevos indicadores que intentan corregir indicadores macroeconómicos clásicos. Se encontraron indicadores como: Índice del Progreso Genuino, PIB verde, Huella Ecológica, Índice de Felicidad Nacional Bruta, y Producto Nacional Neto Ajustado Ambientalmente. Se concluyó que el Índice del Progreso Genuino fue el indicador que más variables ambientales y sociales incluye en su cálculo. Debido a la falta de validez científica y las limitaciones extremas de los datos, las alternativas ecológicas todavía se consideran solamente estimaciones.
