Abstract

ReVista Económica (RVE) contributes to the academic debate from a technical and scientific point of view through biannual publications in digital and printed format. The journal approaches the topics with a rigorous application of econometric techniques to economic and social problems. The first topic of this issue deals with the creative industries of the makers of the Barranquilla Carnival, where Fábregas et al. (2023) highlight the importance of education, training and the investment of a percentage of profits in the innovative development of human capital. On the other hand, it is important to highlight that for the development of innovations the most important dynamic capabilities are the creation of knowledge and absorption of new knowledge. Villada-Alzate (2023) show that the digital phenomenon exploited from marketing serves as an enhancer of business strategies from the assessment of customers at the time of acquiring products and / or services of organizations, which allows the fulfillment of strategic objectives. Moreno-Hernandez et al. (2023) investigate the influence that artificial intelligence has had in the detection of tax fraud in the Colombian case, in which the results have been favorable since systems such as AQM have reduced tax evasion and avoidance. Aguilar-Carvajal, Ortega-García and Acosta-Haro (2023) recognize that the lack of knowledge of the import process by businessmen has caused economic losses and they have been subject to fraudulent practices for ignoring this process. Jeannot-Rossi (2023) states that the estanflación 2023 should disappear before December 31 of this year. Likewise, that interest rate increases slow down the estanflación to make the economy land softly.Tomalá-Parrales (2023) in their work identifies the ways in which the population of the San Juan de Manta site is receiving basic services and evaluate the incidence on the quality of life. They find that this population cannot have a good quality of life and therefore their social welfare is disrupted, directly affecting the satisfaction of basic needs, which is undoubtedly a negative factor for the population living there.
Camacho-Criollo, García-Macas and Loaiza-Godoy (2023) identify how the experience of return migrants in Loja influences the creation of entrepreneurial ventures. The main results indicate that, if there is an influence of return migrants in Loja for entrepreneurship creation, despite the fact that the number of entrepreneurs is lower in the whole study population. Petrovic et al.(2023) examines the relationship between different business models and working capital management in companies in the automotive sector in Ecuador covering about 50% of sales during the period 2012-2021; hence the results found show the periods of inventories, accounts receivable, accounts payable, operating cycle and cash cycle are substantially longer for automotive trading companies in the secondary market compared to companies linked to local assemblers. Montaño-Armendariz et al. (2023) analyze the impact of a social program on the income of companies, with emphasis on the gender variable. The results show that although men and women have similar characteristics, the difference in income persists. Puchaicela and Huachizaca (2023) establishes a statistical and econometric analysis, the determinants of chronic child malnutrition for the Ecuadorian case during 2018. The results show that the determinant of chronic child malnutrition is the low income level of the mother. Likewise, the rural area, education, and family planification, are factors that have a significant result in this study. It is concluded that the Bono de Desarrollo Humano is a benefit that helps mothers to improve their nutrition and that of their children, decreasing with the state of malnutrition.
