All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to rigorous peer review by specialists from anywhere in the world (DOUBLE-BLIND ARBITRATION). The reviewers will send their decision in the format required by the journal, indicating whether the article is: accepted, accepted with modifications or rejected. If the article is accepted, it goes to the editing and layout process. If the article is accepted with changes, it will be forwarded to the author(s) to correct said changes. If the author/s have made the required changes, they will proceed to the editing and layout process. If the article is rejected by both reviewers, it will be returned to its author explaining the reasons.

The materials to be published may include supplemental electronic materials, such as videos, photos and color images, maps and charts or data, that can be downloaded for use by the reader. The journal has an Executive Editor and a Responsible Editor, who make up the Editorial Committee. The Editorial Board of Sur Academia will supervise the operation and compliance with the standards and objectives of the journal.
