Improving the speed of progress with the implementation of a Programme of Muscle Strength in adults over 60’s

This study is a randomized controlled trial (RCT, Nursing. 12/10/2014). The Ethics Research Committee of the Ponti cal Catholic University of Ecuador, Headquarters Santo Domingo (Santo Domingo, Ecuador, Investigium 2014-02) approved the design, protocols and procedures for written informed consent, all participants provided informed consent written. Signi cant effect of group was found, time or interaction (p = 0.05) for gait speed in the control group during the Cooper test test gains were (are actually losses) on April 1, 54 % in the group increased from four to ve participants who made 1200 m; 13,64 % in the group increased from ve to eight participants who took 1500 m; losses (gains are actually) of 13,63 % in the group fell from 40,9 % to 27,27 % in the group decreased from nine to six participants who took 1800 m; 4,55 % in the group decreased from 18,18 % to 13,63 % in the group under four to three participants who made 2200 m. The conclusions that have been made in the study is that a program to strengthen muscle strength leads to an increase in walking speed and muscle strength gains in older adults in their sixties who participated in the training program on muscle strength Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas-Ecuador.Metrics
