Pre-designed templates as a teaching tool for conducting quantitative research projects at Unidad Educativa Saraguro

Abstract

The general structure of the project and the final research report with a quantitative approach requires an academic environment that fosters both the learning process and the exchange of knowledge. Therefore, the research science and technology optative subject, and Technology aims to encourage in students the discovery and generation of new knowledge through the development of research projects. This study was conducted under the quantitative approach, within the positivist paradigm, and at an explanatory level. It involved a population of 112 students (CAS), with a sample of 87 participants, to whom a 14-item questionnaire was administered using the survey technique. For validity, the Delphi method was applied, involving two selected experts. The results demonstrated that the use of pre-designed templates in research work improves the organization, writing, and clarity of projects. It was concluded that students achieved meaningful learning regarding the construction of the research process.
