This issue presents original research focused on the floristic diversity of representative ecosystems in Ecuador. The articles analyze species composition and richness in the tropical dry forest of El Retiro, in the province of Manabí, highlighting its ecological value and conservation status. Additionally, a species guide from the Lagartococha River area, located within the Cuyabeno Wildlife Production Reserve in the Ecuadorian Amazon, is included.
