Abstract

One of Ecuador's main challenges is to decrease the Ecuadorian immigration rate in general and specifically to the United States, over the last two decades there has been a strong increase in immigration, which has been divided into two periods of greater connotation; the first period was at the beginning of the year 2000 after the bank holiday that existed in the country, the second immigration boom occurred in these last three years from 2016 to the beginning of 2019. In this work a study was carried out on the macro factors , meso and micro to Ecuadorian immigrants who made the decision to leave Ecuador and the socio-economic situation they are currently facing in the United States, New Jersey. The methodology applied for this study was through direct observation and 382 surveys of immigrants from the aforementioned state and its different cities such as: Jersey City, Union City, West New York, Gutenberg, Hoboken, Elizabeth, Newark, Clifton, and Baynonne Analyze the macro economic, micro and meso factors of immigrants in New Jersey. Determine the main causes that forced Ecuadorians to leave the country such as: lack of employment in 45.2%, looking for new life opportunities 23.6%. Explain the consequences of immigration of Ecuadorians to New Jersey. In general, it was concluded with this study that it has significantly increased its socio-economic situation of Ecuadorian immigrants in New Jersey, however their quality of life has been affected in terms of their health by the work performed and their poor diet.
