Vertical Stability of the atmosphere in the provinces of Loja and Zamora Chinchipe, Ecuador
Keywords:
Atmospheric stability, multiple correlation, Pasquill Model.Abstract
In the present work are presented the results obtained using the meteorological information in five automatic stations administered by the Area of the Energy, the Industries and the Renewable Natural Resources of the National University of Loja, Ecuador. The data of global solar radiation and of the maximum wind speed are used, instead of values of temperature and wind speed and direction to different heights, reason why it is used, in an alternative way, the pattern of static stability proposed by Pasquill with some modifications due to don ́t have observations of cloud amount in nocturnal periods. The used methodology is presented as well as the results obtained in each one of the stations for the months from March to December of 2013. The summary values of monthly precipitation were correlated with the class of unstable stability and the wind direction monthly averages, obtaining consistent results from the physical point of view.Metrics
