La Revista Económica (RVE) is an academic publication managed by the Center for Social and Economic Research and the Economics Research Club of the National University of Loja. The objective of the RVE is to disseminate the contributions of researchers in economic science and related branches every six months. The RVE's target audience is researchers, teachers, students, and those responsible for economic and social development policies. The RVE's topics of interest are applied economic growth and development models, applied regional economics, applied environmental economics, regional development policy, policy impact assessment, and in general, all research that contributes to the understanding of the dimensions of development problems. The RVE accepts original scientific papers, in a wide range of disciplines that include the following research areas: Economics, Administration, Social Sciences, Political Sciences. The RVE is a journal reviewed by academic peers (peer-review process), internal and external to the National University of Loja, and for arbitration the double blind system is applied. The RVE accepts publications in both Spanish and English, and publishes twice a year (two issues a year). The opinions expressed in documents published in the RVE represent the opinion of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy of the journal or its Editors.
